Love to see Mark continuing developing on "A Son's" qualities. This whole album feels more hopeful and more modest, although less conceptual.
"A Son" for me was a heartbreaking experience. It feels like it had a bigger distance to hope than "The Patience Fader". "A Son's" chords were as if on the verge of breaking. It felt like it (the narrator maybe) was overwhelmed by the path it was to cover.
Here chords are closer, they sound warmer, more intimate
Favorite track: Almost Grown.
