Some of Loscil's best work. Here he uses expansive orchestral samples to great effect, but it still has that inscrutable attention to detail that he's deservedly known for.
Loscil's music humbly hides the complexity of its composition, within its subtle detail, beckoning the listener to lean into the speaker and become immersed. Despite that, it is not disruptive in the background. JackG

Right away (well, by the three minute mark, at least) you'll notice an almost menacing intensity not usually present on a loscil album. Track two picks up the pace. Monument Builders feels like an outlier in loscil's catalogue, but still built on the same incredible level of quality and execution, it also fits perfectly within it. rvss.eel

This is by far the album I've listened to the most in my life, since the year 2000. It always feels like coming home. It is legend in my circle of friends. Listen to it before you die. wasaia
